RMIT CONNECT

ISSUE: April 2014

The RMIT Alumni Magazine is here and available to read online now! It was officially launched by Melbourne fashion designer and cover star Toni Maticevski at a sold-out Fashion In Conversation event at Storey Hall last month.

The magazine is a platform for you to connect to RMIT and your alumni community – and hear directly from other alumni about their journey to success. The first edition is called The Visionaries Issue – celebrating alumni who have made their vision a reality.

Read the interview with Toni Maticevski on his journey from Footscray to fashion icon, get insights from Sir Jonathan Mills AO, Director of the Edinburgh International Festival or Dr Hugh Williams on how to make it to the top in Silicon Valley, and more.

The magazine also includes plenty of opportunities for you to connect to RMIT through mentoring, offering internships or supporting scholarships.

Read the magazine and send us your feedback on what you think about the magazine and how you’d like to connect to RMIT.

We’re also delighted to announce this year’s Outstanding Alumni Award winners. Social entrepreneur Aimee Marks, founder of TOM Organic, and sports marketing specialist Priscilla Ho, founder and Managing Director of Prescient Sports and Entertainment Pty Ltd, are being recognised by RMIT for their remarkable contributions to their industries.

Best wishes,
RMIT University

Support Australian Universities

SUPPORT AUSTRALIAN UNIVERSITIES

Australia’s universities give us so many reasons to be proud. Not only do they deliver the highly skilled graduates our economy needs to prosper, their research and innovation has help put Australia on the world stage. However, global competition is intensifying and we risk being left behind. Universities Australia wants to make sure this doesn’t happen – but we need your support.
